Support the Vihara
The Vihara offers its activities freely, sustained by the generosity of its community — whether that's a donation, an offering, or your time. However you choose to give, it is received with gratitude.
Financial support
Donations
Your generosity helps to keep the temple open and cared for: the upkeep of the building, the requisites of the resident monk, Sunday Dhamma School, and the year's observances and festivals — Vesak, Poson, the Katina ceremony, and more.
Bank transfer & standing order — ask the Vihara for account details, or use our standing order form.
Cheque or cash — in person, or by post to the Vihara.
Gift Aid — if you are a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid adds 25% to your donation at no extra cost to you. Ask the Vihara for a Gift Aid declaration.
Practical dāna
Offerings
Not every gift is financial. Offering a meal to the Sangha — whether as a memorial almsgiving, a family-sponsored dāna, or simply an act of generosity — is a long-standing and deeply valued way of supporting the Vihara.
See Food dāna under Temple Life → Community & Blessings for how to arrange an offering.
Give your time
Volunteering
The Vihara is run largely through the voluntary effort of its community — helping with Sunday Dhamma School, festival preparations, temple upkeep, and the many small tasks that keep temple life running smoothly. Get in touch to find out what's needed.
